Lahaina Grill's Maui Onion & Sesame Seed Crusted Seared Ahi

In a coup for Maui dining and its fine cuisine, two “Magic Isle” restaurants were named to OpenTable’s “Top 50″ in its 2010 Diners’ Choice Awards for Best American Restaurants. Local favorites Lahaina Grill and Wolfgang Puck’s Spago at Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea were the only Hawaii restaurants to make OpenTable’s annual top 50 list.

The San Francisco-based online restaurant reservation site compiled the list based on feedback collected on its website between May 2009 and May 2010. The winning restaurants were pulled from a pool of more than 11,000 restaurants in 50 states and more than 5 million reviews.

Open since 1990, Lahaina Grill offers innovative New American cuisine using techniques and flavors from around the world. LG’s menu is perfectly blended with the freshest ingredients cultivated by Maui’s local farms, dairies, and surrounding waters. Executive chef Arnulfo Gonzalez and chef/owner Jurg Munch are celebrating 20 years of exquisite dining at this Lahaina gem.

A local favorite, Lahaina Grill's "Cake Walk" offers petite servings of Maine lobster crab cake, Pacific Northwest white rock shrimp cake and a delectable seared ahi cake.

Lahaina Grill has been voted “Best Maui Restaurant” for for an amazing 17 consecutive years by the Honolulu Magazine readers’ poll, the “Hale Aina Awards” (1994-2010). For more info, visit www.lahainagrill.com or call 808-667-5117.

At Spago, Wolfgang Puck and executive chef Cameron Lewark’s menu features a fusion of Hawaiian and California cuisine with Pacific Rim flavors. Spago utilizes only the finest and freshest ingredients available in Hawaii, using organic and local products whenever possible.
