December is delightful on Maui Nui our unique special events include a Hawaiian style Holiday Pops concert at the MACC and a Plein Air painting festival on Lanai.  Enjoy December holiday lights on Lanai, Molokai and Maui. December is also the first full formal month of the Maui Town parties, Wailuku is on the first Friday, Lahaina is on the second Friday, Makawao is on the third Friday and Paia rounds out the party list with their event on fourth Friday. Lanai Annual Christmas Festival & Tree Lighting Ceremony

Come to an open house celebrating the holiday season with music, poetry reading and hula. It is also a benefit for Hokulani Holt’s halau hula, Payu O Hiyiaka. Holiday Lighting of the Banyan Tree

Lahaina’s historic Banyan Tree is lit up with thousands of Christmas lights for the entire holiday season. Santa makes an appearance, island-style, and community choirs sing Christmas carols. See the World Cultural Exchange Hula performances on stage. Enjoy a holiday arts and crafts fair along with Hawaiian musical entertainment.
